Team Kharkov Requests June 26th - July 2nd

"For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light." (Col. 1:9-12 NASB)

As you will see from our prayer requests this week, this is truly a timely Word from the Lord for all of us on Team Kharkov. After 12 years of service in Ukraine, the Lord is leading the Wofford family to a new location. We would ask you to pray in accordance with this passage from Colossians for Keith, Wendy, Ryan and Shelby Wofford, as well as Amanda and Linda who will be the only American members of "Team Kharkov" in the future.

Sunday, June 26th "....ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding...." The Wofford family will not move until some time in August, but we would ask you to pray as they finish up ministry projects, pack up, and say good-bye to team members and partners who have become like family. Pray for God's favor and provision in this process. Ask the Lord to fill each one of us "with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding" for our individual and corporate ministry in the future.

Monday, June 27th "......so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, " Change always leads us down new paths, and deeper into the character of the Lord as we obey. Ask the Lord to enable us to walk in a way that will reflect His character and bring glory to Him alone.

Tuesday, June 28th "...to please Him in all respects..." Pray for Team Kharkov as we meet today for a time of fellowship together before Shelby heads back to the states. Ask the Lord to fill the place where we will gather, and our hearts, with His presence. Pray we would individually and corporately seek to please Him in all that is said and done not only today, but each and every day before us.

Wednesday, June 29th "...bearing fruit in every good work..." Pray for those who will encounter Christ through Team Kharkov members and the volunteer team from Prattville, Alabama next week through VBS. May He prepare the hearts of children and adults to respond to His Word and His love. Pray we would see much fruit, produced through the power of the Risen Christ, in and through our lives each and every day.

Thursday, June 30th "....increasing in the knowledge of God;" Ask our All-knowing Father to enable each of us to increase in our knowledge and understanding of Him. Lift up Wendy and Shelby as they travel today to Kiev to spend a day together before Shelby's flight to the states tomorrow. Pray for safety in travel and sweet fellowship together as they celebrate the changes taking place in their lives.

Friday, July 1st "...strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience;" Intercede for Shelby as she returns to the states today, as well as for Keith, Wendy, and Ryan in her absence. Pray the Lord would strengthen each of us, that we might persevere in the midst of change, and wait patiently as He unfolds His plans for us individually and corporately.

Saturday, July 2nd "...joyously giving thanks to the Father...." Join us in praising and thanking Him for the life He has given us through Christ! We praise Him for the years He has given us together at Team Kharkov, and for the leadership of Keith through those years. Today we will celebrate Independence Day with students from the International Church and The Book Club with a picnic and softball game. While many of the students are believers, there are others who will join us from both groups that have yet to commit their lives into His hands. Pray for the time of fellowship and celebration to draw those who are not believers into a personal, eternal relationship with our Savior.

Thank you for continuing on this journey with us. While we do not yet know all the changes the weeks and months ahead will bring us, we are trusting in the One who does know! We covet your prayers for all of us as we seek His face, His heart, and His will.

IMPACTing the Kharkov region of Ukraine with the love of Christ!
